Breakfast - or late day snack 

Start your day with a heart-healthy breakfast that's easy to prepare in advance and bursting with flavor.

Overnight Oats with Berries and Almonds

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup mixed berries (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries)
  • 2 tablespoons sliced almonds
  • A pinch of cinnamon (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl or jar, combine the rolled oats, almond milk, Greek yogurt, chia seeds, honey (if using), and vanilla extract. Stir well to mix.
  2. Cover and refrigerate overnight (or at least 4 hours) to allow the oats and chia seeds to soften and absorb the liquid.
  3. In the morning, give the oats a good stir. Top with mixed berries, sliced almonds, and a pinch of cinnamon, if desired.
  4. Enjoy your nutritious and delicious breakfast straight from the jar or transfer to a bowl.

  • Fat: ~10-12g (with healthy fats from almonds)
  • Carbohydrates: ~40-45g (including fiber and natural sugars from berries)
